Casey Slight
Founder of Objective Maintenance Solutions. A trade qualified mechanical fitter with experience on power stations, coal mines, valve and process plant, and heavy diesel.
From Power Stations to Process Plants
Casey came up through welding and fabrication, leading a fabrication team before moving into mechanical field work on some of the most demanding plant in Australian industry. He has overhauled gas turbines and generators during power station outages, working on GE Vernova, Siemens Energy and Mitsubishi Power assets, and built, overhauled and fault-found longwall systems in underground coal mines, including supervising the mechanical crew on an overland conveyor upgrade.
Before that he was Field Service Leader for Pentair across Australia and New Zealand, leading mechanical teams through shutdowns and servicing of valves, actuators, pumps and gearboxes in industrial and process plants. He has also worked as a heavy equipment fitter, from dozers and haul trucks to the excavators and loaders on local jobs.
That fabrication background still comes in handy. He's competent in fabrication and machining, so when a job needs a special tool or jig, he can design and make one, and where there's a workshop on site he'll jump on the lathe or mill to get a part made.
He started OMS to bring that standard to South East Queensland plant owners: planned, properly documented mechanical work, done to the site's permit and safety systems. Today he leads OMS and its trade qualified fitters, and brings in tradespeople with specialist experience when a job calls for it.
Casey at Work

Experience That Counts
Power generation
Gas turbine and generator overhauls on planned outages, from rotor removal to precision alignment and recommissioning.
Underground coal
Longwall builds, overhauls and fault finding, plus mechanical supervision of an overland conveyor upgrade.
Valves & process plant
Field Service Leader for Pentair across Australia and New Zealand, leading teams on valves, actuators and pumps.
Fast, Loud and Outdoors
Casey is a husband and dad of two. Away from work he's usually on a dirt bike, out on the water fishing, or around anything fast and loud. He loves his dogs, the ocean in general, travel, and the odd round of golf.
Leading OMS
OMS provides planned maintenance, maintenance contracts, shutdown support and on-site repairs for fixed plant, process plant, valves and heavy diesel equipment across South East Queensland, with shutdown work further afield. See About OMS for how we work.
