Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our Standard

What We Aim For

This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Australian Human Rights Commission for accessible websites under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

What we've done:

  • Every page has a "Skip to content" link, a clear heading structure and a main content area
  • The site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
  • Text and buttons meet WCAG colour contrast ratios, including text over photos
  • Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers
  • Every form field has a label
  • Pages work at 200% zoom and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels without sideways scrolling
  • Motion is reduced for visitors who turn on "reduce motion" in their device settings

We check the site with automated testing (axe-core) and manual keyboard checks when pages are added or changed. Automated tools can't catch everything, so if something doesn't work for you, please tell us.
